Angel Gabriel, the news Bearer
Angel of YHWH was in charge of ministering to the Israelites, Michael the
Archangel is keeping Satan in check, and Gabriel is the news Bearer like
Angel of YHWH (Jesus). Angel of YHWH identifies Himself as Gabriel (Luke
1:19).
In the book of Revelation, it is written that Jesus sent ‘mine Angel’ to give to John the new set of prophecies until the end. We see that ‘mine Angel’ refers to Angel of YHWH without a name like Michael or Gabriel. So, Jesus sent Angel of YHWH to John to deliver the prophecy of the Apocalypse. I am tempted to take ‘mine Angel’ for the news Bearer Gabriel but Michael is said to mean ‘who is like God?’ and we know that Angel of YHWH is like God in that YHWH said that His name is in Him. (Daniel 8:16 LITV) And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, and he called and said, Gabriel, make this one understand the vision. (Daniel 9:21 LITV) and while I was setting my prayer in order, then the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, touched me in my severe exhaustion about the time of the evening sacrifice. (Luke 1:19 LITV) And answering, the angel said to him, I am Gabriel, who stands before God, and I was sent to speak to you and to announce to you the good news of these things.
